Is it summer or fall? There
has been an unusual amount of frontal activity and good
weather nights have been hard to come by. Oh, I did get
one not too exciting night in at Jamaica Bay. Therefore,
I'm still dipping into the Litchfield trip. As I browsed
the files, this one looked like an interesting
selection. I didn't dawn on me when I saw this in the
field, but this is one I had never seen before. It's a White--headed
Prominent (Symmeriata
albifrons), from the family Notodontidae and it was
photographed June 20.
