You can never wrong by
selecting a member of the family Plusiinae for MOW. No
doubt, they're a cool looking bunch. This one is Putnam's
Looper Moth (Plusia putnami)
and it wins out over a Formosa Looper Moth that appeared
the same night. As with last week's selection, this one
comes from my Litchfield trip, appearing at my black
light the night of June 19. |
