The Mulberry Wing
It's a funny thing about the effectiveness of bait through the year.  The month of March can be spectacular for the numbers, if not diversity, of species that are attracted. Nights from June into October can fair to excellent, depending on year and location. However, nothing much happens in April or May, at least in my experience. This Maple Looper Moth (Parallelia bistriaris) was the only moth to come to bait at Jamaica Bay May 11, a night that was productive at the lights.
