The Mulberry Wing
It's taken a while for me to get around to this first MOW installment of the year. I like to wait until the weather can ensure a steady stream of moths. That's been tough so far.  We may have finally gotten rid of the cold, but the warmer days have been exceptionally dry. A slight push of humidity following a warm front April 28 brought a number of interesting records to the walls of the Jamaica Bay Visitor Center. Ironically, the one previous site record of Wooly Gray (Lycia ypsilon) occurred on the Visitor Center April 28, 2001.
