Another Geometer as MOW, how
'bout that? Well, it earned the right. While most of the
candidates came to lights -- no imagination there --
this one went a step further. It's The
Beggar (Eubaphe
mendica), shown nectaring in broad
daylight at the milkweed patch on Pell Hill at Ward
Pound Ridge Reservation, July 2. I don't know if
it's regular thing for the species, as I don't run into
it a whole lot. And by the way, one of these did come to
the black light overnight. |
