I feel like I'm revisiting last
spring by getting into Moth of the Month territory. Not
that it's been a cold spring, but it sure has been dry. Irresistible
nights for mothing have been rare. So it's back to April
15 for material. This one is a Norman's
Quaker (Crocigrapha
normani) at the James Ramsay Hunt Sanctuary,
proving that it's the black light that it's here to see.
Unlike many of the April Noctuids, this species has
staying power. They can be found into June, though
surely not looking like this. |
