A different approach this week.
The poor field weather of late has motivated me to
plunge into my off season work of identification and
cataloging (and to keep closer tabs on the pennant
race). This year I decided to start with the micro
moths. I had planned to work a few in during the season
but there were always interesting macros to use. So
here’s one now -- a little gem that appeared for me in
Litchfield County
,
CT
back on July 11. This is Archips dissitana, from
the family Tortrcidae. |
