                      | | Underwing activity at Floyd Bennet Field has
diminished quite a bit and I though I had seen the last
of them for this year. Yet I keep putting bait on the
trees. One result on September 16 was a first bait
visitation (but second site record) by The
                        Bride (Catocala neogama). This
was a very cooperative individual, allowing me to pry
its wings open for this photo, all the while continuing
                        to enjoy the free meal. Everybody wins. | | | | |
