While most people in the Northeast complained about
the hot weather on weekend of August 13-14, I just
salivated over the moth possibilities. It didn't
disappoint, being especially productive for me for
underwings. So of course I had to use one for MOW. But
which one to pick? Why deal with that decision when this
beauty presented itself. It's a Rose
Hooktip
(Oreta rosea) of the small family Drepanidae. The
location was Ward Pound Ridge Reservation and the day
was August 14. |
