I'm
falling down on the job again. So this is the moth of
the last two weeks -- but what a moth it is. It's a Regal
Moth or Royal Walnut
Moth (Citheronia regalis). It was
found by Hugh McGuinness in Montauk July 20, proving
that this beauty still exists on Long Island. |
