                        normally reserve this page for species that I know -- or
                        I think I know. I'm not quite sure on this one, but it's
                        the moth that most floated my boat (or whatever cliche')
                        this past week -- as it is a new species for the Jamaica
                        Bay survey. For now -- someone will correct me if I'm
                        wrong -- I'll call this a Four-spotted
                        Angle (Diagrammia quadrinotaria). Yes,
                        I'm still looking for the spots -- the name doesn't
                        refer to the small spots on the abdomen. The photograph
                        was taken at Floyd Bennet Field, Kings co. on June 2. |
