Through
April, representation of the Geometrid subfamily
Ennominae was dominated by generally gray species. As
May arrived, so did a number of the more colorful and
showy species, such as those of the genera Plagodis and
Probole. Shown here is an American
Barred Umber (Anagoga occiduaria),
which came to black light at the James Ramsay Hunt
Sanctuary in Westchester county May 1. |
