If
you thought I missed a week, you're right. Some PC
problems gave me no choice over that. But I'm back this
week, with a colorful entry. This is an American Ear
Moth (Amphipoea americana) of the Noctuid subfamily
Amphipyrinae. It
was found July 19 at the James Ramsay Hunt Sanctuary in
Westchester County, NY. I'm not quite sure what's going
on with that hind wing. |
