I
have lots of great choices for this week, but this one
gets the nod for MOW as it had the distinction of being
the one species I deliberately targeted with a daytime
search. It's a Figure-Seven Moth (Synedoida
grandirena) of the Noctuid subfamily Catocalinae. It
was found July 5 in Litchfield County, CT. Can you see
