This picture was sent to me for identification by
Andrew Krivenko, another convert to the wonderful world
of moths. It matched up well with the Yellow-washed
Metarranthis (Metarranthis obfirmaria)
shown in Covell. The picture was taken in the Pine
Barrens at Makepeace Lake Wildlife Management Area in
Atlantic County, New Jersey. The date was April 25. |
