Blacklighting in Litchfield
County, CT June 5 produced a lot of geometers and it
produced one surprise Noctuid for me. This obviously has
the look of an Agrotis dart from the Noctuinae group.
But aside from the ubiquitious Ipsilon Dart, it's a
group that one expects in September and October.
However, a check of my field guide showed that there is
a double brooded candidate -- that being the Voluble
Dart (Agrotis
volubilis). |
