I
don't think that I've used a dagger moth from the large
genus Acronicta on this page, as it's one of
those groups that I put aside until I do my winter
cataloging. In other words, I'm usually unclear about
what I have at the time. Well, this one I knew from my
travels to northern Connecticut and I knew just what it
was when I got my first Westchester record June 25.
Ironically, it's called the Unclear
Dagger Moth (Acronicta
increta). The site was Ward Pound Ridge
Reservation. |
