I've
had a lot of exposure to the other three members of this
genus -- the ones that look alike and require lifting of
the wings to see abdomen and foreleg color in order to
separate. The one distinctive one had eluded me -- until
May 16 at the James Ramsay Hunt
Sanctuary. This is a Dubious
Tiger Moth (Spilosoma dubia) of the family
Arctiidae.
