Hugh McGuinness has impressed me with the number of
species he's been getting on eastern Long Island that,
so far, I've had to leave the island to find. This is
one of the latest, a Sheathed Quaker (Ulolonche
culea) of the Noctuid subfamily Hadeninae. It was photographed
in Sag Harbor May 19. |
