With the reluctance of spring to step forward, I've
been reluctant to get started with MOW. I can't be sure
that I'll have something every week. Despite a cool
night and rather slim pickings April 19, the looks of
this moth told me it was time to start. This is a Jocose
Sallow (Feralia jocosa), from the Noctuid subfamily Cuculliinae
(I hope I got that right). The place was the James
Ramsay Hunt Sanctuary in Westchester co. |
