This False Crocus Geometer (Xanthotype urticaria) (family Geometridae) was a wake up surprise at the James Ramsay Hunt Sanctuary June 16. Located in northern Westchester County, this is yet another site that I'm surveying. Lodging on the grounds makes it easy to work late into the night and then get up early to see what the lights drew in while I was sleeping.
