A lot of the fall Noctuids are out now. The thrill of
finding new ones is quickly tempered by the prospect of
identifying them. I'm sure of the genus on this one.
It's Papaipema (borer moths, subfamily
Amphipyrinae). It was found at Bear Mountain, Rockland
co. September 19. |
